SPECIES

Brown trout, rainbow trout, marmorata trout ( known also as “marble” ), brook trout, lake trout, alpine char, lake whitefish, grayling, pike, perch, carp, chub.

TECHNIQUES

Spin fishing from ultralight for trouts in small creeks to heavy for pikes in lakes, fly fishing both dry and nimph, gear fishing, baiting with live or dead bait, carpfishing.

SPOTS

Every kind of streams, from small creek and tributaries up to Adige River, from the small lakes of high mountains to biggers lakes in the lowers valleys.

SPRING

In April we fish most of all trouts, both brown and marmorata. Spin, fly and gear fishing are all good for making some good catch in our streams. In May starts the season of pike in lakes, and this is one of the best moment for it. Trout fishing is also good during May and in the hottest days trouts will bite in late afternoon or early morning.

SUMMER

June is still a good month for trouts and pikes. With the increasing of temperature we can go up on mountains, looking for cold water and nice trouts. This is the month when starts char fishing in the beuatiful alpine small lakes. In the biggest lakes we start to fish perchs and chubs.

July and August are usually the hottest months and because of low water fishing in streams could be difficult ma sometimes we have had very good levels and an handsome fishing. Normally in this period we go fishing in mountains for brown trouts, brooks and char, for perch and chubs in lakes, for carp during the night, for pikes at the sunset.

With September things usually goes better and we start again catching nice trouts also in river, and certainly pikes, perch, grayling and char in both streams and lakes.

FALL

In October most trout waters are closed to fishing but some spots are open, catch and release and dry fly only for trout and grayling. This is the best time for pikes and perch in the lakes, expecially by boat, many opportunities for the big ones. We can fish spin, fly, dead or live bait.

CHRISTMAS TIME

Hotelsport re-opens for Christmas period and we know this is certainly the best time for fishing in this country. Anyway, if your are here for winter sports or for our typical Christmas markets, you can also try to catch something in the beautiful winter atmosphere. During the warmest hours of the sunny days we search pikes and perchs with the boat in the deep water and sometimes we had caught a big one. With Genuary 1th starts the reach of the rare silver lake trouts, the real challenge of winter.
